ABOUT JUDY

A LITTLE INTRO…

Judy Cehmm is a French singer and songwriter. She has been on stage since she was 12 years old, starting by singing and dancing on French national TV (TF1, France 2, Arte…). She is used to performing on big stages (Olympia, Zenith…) as well as on smaller cabarets stages with intimate audience. She played a regular role as part of the Emilie Jolie musical.

She has traveled to many countries working for big productions and cruise lines as a solo singer. Judy showed another face as an actress on the show “chante” broadcasted in several European countries (France 2, Italia 1…). As a complete artist, Judy wants to deliver strong messages : singing, dancing, action.

SHE RELEASED HER FIRST ALBUM «THE QUEST» IN SEPTEMBER 2015.

BIOGRAPHY

HOW IT ALL STARTED…

Judy Cehmm was born in France to a Spanish mother and a French father. A haired blond little girl singing and dancing all day to Michael Jackson. People felt that something was going on even though she was very young. She was the only one in her family part of the music and art business but her parents decided to believe in her talent. Having won several national television competitions, she moved to Paris to attend to a School for Performing Arts where she studied singing and dancing for 2 years. She met at that time Bérénice Béjot (The Artist) and acted with her in the Short Film “Pain Perdu”. Since then, Judy has met producers and worked with Musical production companies in musicals, big theaters and National TV. Lots of opportunities and promises came as Judy grew into a singer, dancer, actress and composer. She found her own way as her own personality grew until she had to get out of the box and express herself.

After travelling all around Europe and Caribbean with International Productions Shows, she left France for United States. She spent few months in L.A and performed at the Molly Malone and Honey pot gigs then went to New York for open mic and broadway Auditions… She met managers from ASCAP and, shortly thereafter, the producer and songwriter Felix Mc Teigue (Grammy nominated 2017 and American Music Award nominated 2017) and the songwriter Jeff Franzel ( Billy Joel, Lady Gaga, “Don’t Rush Me” from Taylor Dayne…). Judy wrote and recorded her first album (The Quest) in New York. She performed therefore in symbolic places like the Piano’s, Rockwood music hall and Vivaldi caffe.

Back to France, Judy signed under the label 3 STARS IN THE SAME SKY in 2015. Besides shows, festivals and gigs, she is involved as going to MBA BBA international school talking about music but also collaborating with big groups like La Folie Douce, Barrière, Cruises lines and American schools.

Judy is a “show girl”, characterized by her incredible energy and generosity on stage. With her strong voice, she is taking the audience through her music (Pop Electro) full of freedom and feelings, inspired by models such as Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Prince, Daft Punk and David Bowie.

Judy is the kind of artist which is necessary to see and listen.
